Earthlings is a documentary that challenges the way we, Humans, behave towards the other animals sharing the Planet with us and highlights our absolute dependence on them as well as our lack of compassion for them. It doesn’t do this by preaching Animal Rights or Vegetarianism; it does it, very effectively, just by showing what happens behind closed doors so that we can have the lifestyle we feel we’re entitled to.

For most people, the biggest shock when watching Earthlings comes not just from the gruesome, almost unbearable footage but also from the realisation of how much about the way animals are treated we don’t know, how much is kept from us. If you are courageous enough to watch Earthlings to the end it is very possible that afterwards you’ll feel physically ill for hours, if not days: it shows abominable acts of cruelty towards animals, impossible to justify or forget, real live footage, mostly captured by hidden cameras.

The scenes shown in Earthlings are happening NOW, never stop. Never will stop unless we become mindful of the ways in which our everyday dietary and lifestyle choices affect the lives of other living creatures.

Earthlings is an award winning documentary, superbly narrated by actor Joaquin Phoenix and with soundtrack by the acclaimed artist Moby, who declared himself “honored to have my music in such a film”.
