ABOUT THE RESTAURANT TERRA
Don’t take just our word for it: come check for yourself some of the many press clippings, awards and testemonials that we’ve collected in our five years of existence!
Terra (meaning Earth in Portuguese) is a, mostly vegan, vegetarian restaurant, by many considered the best vegetarian restaurant in Lisbon. Well, you’ll be the judge on that! What we can promise you is that we do delight in providing visitors with a glimpse into the rich and delicious Portuguese gastronomy.
The recognition of the Press has been a constant reward to our work (see IMPRENSA e TV for some examples, mostly in Portuguese) as well as the numerous and kind comments left in our Guest Book by happy visitors from all over the world. In here you’ll find some such comments in English.
We hope you too choose to visit us when in Lisbon: we love to welcome new friends!

A Charming 18th-century building with a Private Garden...
…Is waiting your visit in one of the oldest areas of Lisbon, with all the feeling of a place where neighbors still know each other and yet minutes away from the lively night life of Bairro Alto.
Traditional Portuguese furniture, hand-painted tiles and, weather permitting, the shadow of century-old trees and the sound of the water in the old fountain will accompany your meal: we look forward to welcoming you to Terra!
Space on our walls is fast disappearing but one of the good things about a Guest Book is that we can simply add another volume when one is finished! So, if you have a couple of minutes to spare, don’t leave without signing: we would love if you, too, could share your experience of Terra. Most of the comments are in Portuguese, of course, but more than a few others where left by visitors from as far as Japan, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, China, Finland or Norway to name just a few!

Dinner indoors or al fresco?
Your choice! The terrace is secluded and has heaters available but its only cover is the foliage of the old trees. To help your choice we post here the weather forecast for the next days. Please take note that, due to previous reservations, if the weather changes we may be unable to move indoors a reservation made for the terrace.
We accept reservations for guests to arrive between 12.30h/pm and 13:00h/1pm (lunch) and between 19.30h/7.30pm and 20:00h/8pm (dinner). In order to better serve all guests, after those times all places remaining free will be occupied on a first come, first serve basis. Thanks for understanding.
What was your experience with Terra? What did we do right? Where did we fail? What could we have done better? Was this site useful? How can we improve it? We can read Portuguese, English, French, Spanish and a little Italian. We would love to hear from you but please use one of these languages!
